The team:

External Relations is responsible for generating fundraising revenue to support QIMR Berghofer’s research programs and protecting and strengthening the Institute’s reputation for research excellence.

Role Purpose / Responsibilities:

We need an accomplished professional to take our direct marketing and donor care program to the next level. Key responsibilities are to deliver our annual appeals and donor communications; and manage acquisition and retention. All this with the overall goal of driving increased donor engagement and revenue. The role reports in to the Communications and Marketing Manager and works closely with the fundraising team. It has one direct report, the Donor Campaign Coordinator.

A key deliverable includes developing a Tax appeal with a matched giving component.

This is a maternity leave role with a view to starting at the end of January 2019..

About you:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced direct marketing professional, able to hit the ground running. Experienced in managing data-driven, multi-channel marketing campaigns with a proven knowledge of customer relationship management/donor care. You will be able to demonstrate your project planning skills and be used to managing budgets. Excellent interpersonal skills and a true team player is an absolute must.

Salary range is $99,424 - $106,467 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time appointment for 12 months.
