About the Flow Cytometry Group:

The Flow Cytometry is within the Scientific Services division provides a diverse array of support services to researchers across QIMR Berghofer; including flow cytometry, microscopy, histology, proteomics

Role Purpose / Responsibilities :

The primary responsibilities of this position is to provide leadership and technical expertise in the delivery of flow cytometry and cell sorting for clinical trials, diagnostic and GMP purposes. The position supports the delivery of these services in the Flow Cytometry and Imaging Facility and Q-Gen Cell Therapeutics.

About you:

The applicant must have a minimum of a BSc or equivalent and experience in the operation of flow cytometry instruments. Experience in human cellular immunology; immune function testing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, have good verbal communication skills and be able to interact effectively with a broad range of individuals within the institute. The position would suit an individual who has an aptitude and passion for working with complex instrumentation with a desire to update and learn new skills.

Salary range is $89,283.15- $108,064.27 p.a. superannuation and salary packaging benefits. This is a full-time appointment 12 months and may be extended.
